Veg-Up Make Up Review

Hello everybody! I got the chance to test out some eco makeup from Veg-Up, an Italian brand of sustainable cosmetics, thanks to the Danish Webshop Mio-Bio. It is not a completely zero waste brand (they have a few bits made from recycled plastic), but I have gotten a lot of feedback from you guys asking for more European makeup brand reviews. I thought this would be a good opportunity to do just that. All the products are vegan, gluten-free and organic.

I got to try out a mascara, an eyeliner and a concealer, three items that I have made homemade zero waste alternatives to, but I thought it would be great anyway, after all, not everyone makes their own makeup, although I would recommend trying it out, it’s a lot of fun.

The mascara comes in three different shades, brown, blue and black. I got the black one. I have been wearing it for several days and I haven’t had any issues with it. It does not smudge or ends up on your cheeks, and but it is easy enough to take off, even with my natural makeup remover.

The eyeliner also comes in a few different shades, but alas, I choose the black as always. I actually prefer choosing the most versatile colour, that way it will not be wasted or forgotten. I have not used liquid eyeliner for three years, so I had some issues, but they were mostly due to my own abilities. I like the product very much.

The concealer is great, I got the lightest colour and it is working perfectly. I apply it with a finger and it stays on all day. All thumps up from here. The materials of the container will be separated whenever I am finished with the product (if I cannot reuse the container entirely)
