who gives a crap // eco-friendly toilet paper review

Hello everybody! I received a parcel from Who Gives A Crap, and it could not have come at a more convenient time, because I was down to my last roll from the bulk store and all of my family is coming to my house for Christmas *crisis averted*. In our daily life, we use both toilet paper and a bidet to reduce the amount of TP that we use,

I have known about Who Gives A Crap for a while, and I have bought their rolls in the past as well, so I was more than delighted when they reached out to me and wanted to collaborate. Their rolls are either made with 100% bamboo or 100% recycled paper (I got the recycled paper) and moreover, they donate 50% of their profits to help organizations who provide access to clean water and toilets all over the world, so far they have donated $7.8 million USD which I think is nothing short of amazing.

When I started my zero waste journey, I couldn’t find zero waste/plastic-free toilet paper anywhere, and especially not any option that was available or shipped to DK. So what I did was that I called up an industrial cleaning company, you know those companies who clean schools and office buildings? I used that for longer than I am proud of…

Since then, it has definitely gotten easier to find low-impact TP options, and furthermore, we don’t have to settle for coarse 1-ply anymore. I think in many ways Who Gives A Crap shows perfectly how far we, and our butts, have come. These rolls are 3-ply and you can buy them in bulk to make sure you don’t run out anytime soon, furthermore, you can also join their subscription service and have TP delivered straight to your door, so you never have to worry about running out.

The box I received contains 48 rolls of 3-ply 100% recycled paper wrapped in paper packaging, completely plastic-free. Furthermore, there are no dyes, inks, or scents, which is just the way we like it. I especially love that recycled paper comes from waste material from offices and schools, like textbooks and printer paper, which is a great way of using this resource.
